Independent initiative
swiss-petition.org is an independent citizen-led petition website. It is not an official website of the Swiss Confederation, Federal Council, Federal Chancellery or another Swiss public authority.
Nature of the signature
Clicking “Sign Petition” intentionally creates an electronic petition-support record for this ordinary petition. The service does not represent the click as a Swiss qualified electronic signature, a certified voter signature, or a substitute for the statutory signature procedures that apply to federal popular initiatives or referendums.
Accurate information
Signatories are asked to provide accurate information and to confirm that they are a citizen or resident of Switzerland. Automated, fraudulent, duplicate or abusive submissions may be excluded from the petition count or administrative export.
Submission
The petition administrator intends to compile recorded electronic signatories and submit the petition to competent Swiss authorities. Submission timing, format and the authority's treatment of the petition remain subject to administrative and legal considerations.
Changes and availability
The website may be updated to protect security, correct errors or meet operational or legal requirements. Material changes to the petition text or declarations should use a new petition/consent version so the signing record remains auditable.
